The owners of this home bought it 20 years ago, they came for a holiday and a few months later bought this house. One can’t say anything about this house without telling you a bit about the owners. Everyone knows that one person or couple that made such an impression you will never forget them. From the moment we met them they made us feel welcome in their home, you can sum them up in one word LOVE: they love life, each other, people, sport and the Springboks maybe England just a tiny bit more, you can’t help yourself but to love them back. We hope that you will experience that same kind of love we did when you stay in their home.
It is a 3 story A-frame house and ideal for a family holiday, teenagers can enjoy their own space upstairs while mom and dad have their own space down stairs. Dinner time can be a full sit-down at the dining room table or outside under the stars, with a beautiful view of the ocean. Keep your binoculars nearby you might just spot some whales breaching or dolphins riding the waves.
The perfect house to use as home base while you explore Cape Town and the surrounding towns. Take a road trip up the West Coast and explore the little fisherman’s villages along the way or go straight to the West Coast National Park only 90 min away, you can visit for the day, swim in the lagoon, go for a hike on the designated trails or take your bike for a spin.
The most amazing wine farms are in a radius of 300 km from Cape Town. If you rather not travel so far you can explore the Southern Peninsular down to Cape Point. Kalk Bay is at the top of everyone bucket list when coming to Cape Town, buy a Kalk Bay: An Historical Walk at Kalk Bay books and you will see what all the fuss is about. Apart from the historical beauty Kalk Bay is home to loads of crafty, bric-a-brac and speciality shops, pubs, bistros and restaurants, from shabby, shabby-chic to fabulous.
If you want to do something different today, then Simon’s Town is it, you can do an audio tour, visit the Simon’s Town Museum, SA Naval and Warrior Toy Museum, for the adrenaline junkies there is scuba diving, kayaking, shark cage diving and for those of us that love to stay on the safe then a visit to the African Penguin colony at Boulder’s Beach is it, you can even have a swim with the penguins at Foxy Beach. There are loads of shops, pubs, bistros and restaurants to enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner.
There are so much to see and do, so visit all the sites beforehand otherwise it can be quit overwhelming trying to decide what to do. After so much exploring I am sure the swimming pool at Keemarda will be a welcoming site. Jump in and enjoy!
